To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please email water@waterspirit.org or call 732-923-9788 We are delighted to welcome two special guest musicians to this event! Leah Michael Whalen and Patty Cronheim will be sharing their talents with us. Leah Michael Whalen (they/them) is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who strives to expand past conventional music solutions and boundaries concerning how we emotionally engage with music. Inspired by cross-domain art forms, supernatural cognizance, and the connection between individuals, they often confront profoundly personal and challenging issues, resulting in a surreal and reflective aesthetic. Guided by intuition and tactile sensations, Leah Michael’s music contains complex polyphonic structuring, sonic imagination, and unpredictable texturing, producing a unique and potent voice. They obtained a master's degree in composition at NYU, where they studied with Jerica Oblak. While at NYU, they founded an experimental new music trio, kon.trip, with members Adrienne Schoenfeld and Jake Miles. Patty Cronheim (she/her) performs her original jazz and blues tunes with a vivacious, soulful style and uncompromising vocals. Patty is a jazz musician who not only exhibits exciting musical technique, but has something to say. She is a passionate environmental activist and long-time friend of the organization, and we are delighted to welcome her back this summer!
